A combined media library

If you have multiple people with their own server, you can connect them to create a shared media library. This means if your friend has something, you can watch it without needing to have it on your server.

We don't want your data

Tech bros love to say "data is the new oil". We think this is stupid, and have no interest in collecting your data. We don't track your activity, we won't sell your data, and we won't ambush you with sweeping Terms and Conditions changes to appease shareholders.

Frequently Asked Questions

What content can I share through Vega?
You can only share content that you legally own or have the right to share. This includes your personal movie collection, home videos, photos, music you've purchased, and content you've created yourself.
Does Vega monitor what I'm streaming?
No. Vega operates a self-hosted model where your content stays on your own server. We don't scan, monitor, or have access to your media files. Your privacy is maintained since you control your own data.
How does the shared library work?
When you connect with friends' servers, you can browse their shared content catalogs. When you select something to watch, it streams directly from their server to your device. The content owner maintains full control over their files.
What if someone shares copyrighted content through the shared library feature?
Users are solely responsible for the content they share. Vega provides the technology platform but does not host, monitor, or control user content. We require all users to agree to our Terms of Service, which prohibits sharing copyrighted content without proper authorisation.
Is my data secure?
Yes. All connections between servers are encrypted, and your media files never leave your server unless you explicitly share them. We use industry-standard security protocols and don't store your content on our servers.
